REGINA, May 30: The filming of Dolan’s Cadillac, a new multi-million-dollar feature-film adaptation of a short story from Stephen King, is now under way in Canada.
The action-based thriller started shooting in and around Regina and Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan, Canada, on May 26, and will wrap production in June after 26 shooting days. Dolan’s Cadillac stars Christian Slater (Bobby, Windtalkers), Emmanuelle Vaugier (CSI: NY, Two and a Half Men) and Wes Bentley (American Beauty, Ghost Rider).
In the film, Tom Robinson (Bentley) is a peaceful, law-abiding schoolteacher until his wife Elizabeth (Vaugier) accidentally witnesses a murder. Jimmy Dolan (Slater), a ruthless mob boss from Las Vegas, never leaves behind a witness. Haunted by the ghost of his wife, Robinson vows to avenge her death, pushing himself beyond the breaking point.
Canadian Jeff Beesley will direct this new thriller, based on a script that Richard Dooling adapted from Stephen King’s short story, Dolan’s Cadillac. Kevin DeWalt of Minds Eye Entertainment and Ellen Wander of Film Bridge International will executive produce the film. Rhonda Baker and Alain Gagnon will produce Dolan’s Cadillac.
Film Bridge International has acquired the rights to Dolan’s Cadillac for worldwide sales. “The audience is in for a treat,” said Minds Eye Entertainment’s DeWalt. “We’ve assembled an incredibly talented cast and a highly skilled crew, and are ready to deliver a quality film that will exceed audience expectations.”
